Misai Oh Misai
25 January 2010 9:47:00 PM
Saturday was paternal granduncle’s solemnization over at Malaysia. Sumpah chaotic.

The ceremony was supposed to be held at 10am but because the Sultan Johor pass away, the entire ceremony had to be reshuffled since the tok kadi had to attend the burial ceremony over at JB. Naseb baek kat JB je.

Left home as early as 6.30am and met the rest of the relatives at Second Link at 8am. We were only aware of the reshuffling on the morning itself where the ceremony will be held after zohor. Once the other 2 cars had arrived, the convoy of cars then headed for the groom’s house. It was about 11am when we reached there and the funny thing was that the groom was busily washing his bike. Haha.

While waiting for 2pm, ayah decided to drop by Atok’s house which was a 30mins distance from granduncle’s house since the rest of the relatives decided to go shopping. Didn’t go all the way to his house though cos we saw him halfway, on his way to attend a jemputan elsewhere. Chatted for a while and then back to granduncle’s house. Did our Zohor and once everyone was there and ready to set off, groom’s younger brother read some prayers for the safety of the journey before setting off. Oh! The tok kadi actually called to say that the earliest he could make it was 4.30pm! Chet!

4 Singapore cars and 4 Malaysian cars set off for the bride’s house. It was 3.30pm when we reached. Cousins, aunt, ibu and I kept disturbing the groom. Hahaha! Damn hilarious. “Protest ni protest.” HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The other half of the relatives were sitting outside; eating. Like wth. The ceremony had yet to start and they were already eating. Since ibu said it’s still a long way to go, the entire bunch of us went out to join them, including the groom! LOL!
And then, at 4pm, the tok kadi called again. Change of time, again! The earliest he could make it was 6pm! And by this time, I think the entire relatives from Singapore were quite pissed. Pagi, tengah hari, petang. Senang-senang tok kadi genapkan lepas Maghrib sekali. Heh. Since we cannot wait any longer cos we were afraid of the massive traffic jam at Tuas, the entire bunch of us decided to leave, without witnessing the solemnizing ceremony. Disappointed much cos we like go there for nothing. Heh. Eh eh, but I got a chance to see the bride. HAHAHAHAH! Maya, kalau kau bace ni, paham-paham je kay knape aku ktawe. Siakkkkkks~

Second link for dinner, went separate ways from the rest of the relatives and home sweet home.
p.s. As usual, you know where to go for more pictures(:
